We are so lucky to have a studio so close to all of these amazing locations in Orange County. Enjoy the scenery! You can hit all of these Balboa locations in less than 30 minutes- and of course you have to hit BJ’s when the shoot is over! We loved doing Millie & Christian’s LDS wedding in Los Angeles recently. Christian is one of 15 kids. No – that is not a typo. 15. The biggest immediate family I have shot to date. After they exited the temple – we did formals for awhile and then it was our “play time.” Hands down my favorite part of a wedding is the time spent with just the bride and groom. They were awesome and gave us an hour to do whatever we wanted. Here are some of our favorites….

This one needs a little explanation. Millie got married in the dress on the left. It was her mother’s. She had her pics and the reception in the dress on the right. I thought it was cool that she wore her mom’s dress – so wanted to get a shot of both together. Christian’s Dad was unable to make it to the wedding so they skyped him! How awesome is that. They put the laptop on a table so he could watch everything going on. His dad even got up an danced a little bit too!

A very long day – but one that will not be forgotten! It was perfect! Millie and Christian – you are an awesome couple and we loved being with you on your big day! Can’t wait to see you again soon!

Orange County Newborn Photographer – Newport Beach, CA

We did a newborn session for one of our past couples from 2004. I was so excited when she called while she was pregnant. We did their maternity session as well as the newborn shoot and they turned out great. I can’t get enough of Annabelle’s hair. It is AWESOME! My first little guy had hair very similar to this – so I was just enjoying every second of it.

Orange County Newborn Photography – Irvine, CA

I got to photograph this family when their little son was just barely crawling. Now I get to photograph him as a big brother and his sweet sister! It was a fun shoot because the mom wanted her daughter awake for the photos – so there was no heater, sound machine, etc. needed. We just walked around the house and took photos of Abbey in her environment. The storyboard is designed to look like one they have of their older son when he was born. I think they will probably hang them close together.

We love when past brides and grooms come back to see us for family sessions. Or – just to see us is fun to – but we love capturing how their family grows! This couple got married in LA on a very rainy day. They were in CA for a weekend because their had been a death in the family. Well, they decided last minute they wanted some photos from Brian and I. As luck would have it – it started to rain while we were doing the session! E + M, I think the rain follows you to CA! I think we got some great ones, even though we had little time to get everything before the rain started pouring. Can’t wait to see you back out here in CA again!

First Birthday Cake Series – Orange County Children’s Photographer

In 2006, 5 days before I was due to give birth to my second son, we got to photograph Jeff and Karie’s wedding at the Turnip Rose. Then, when she was pregnant with their first son, we photographed their maternity session. Soon after, we did the newborn session of their first son, then sessions of their second son – and now their second son is one! I love photographing for Karie because she always has lots of options for clothes and is open to ideas.

I had wanted to do a Birthday Cake Series for a client and they were the perfect ones! Karie bought the cake at Vons and after we did the session outside for his “1 year” – we ended with the cake. He was SO into it – it was great!

We offer the Birthday Cake Series as three images (clean to messy) in a frame. Afterwards – we had to take Riley upstairs to the bathroom to take a quick bath while I cleaned up the mess in the studio. But it was worth it! Love this and hopefully more of you will want to do it!
