Tim & Melissa’s wedding day – California Heights Church & The Hacienda

Orange County wedding photographers – The Hacienda, Santa Ana – CA

We first met Tim and Melissa at their engagement session at Disneyland! This is when Jennifer discovered she doesn’t like shooting on Big Thunder Mountain (while in motion)! So I guess I get that job next time we are asked for a high-speed engagement sess!

Their wedding was at the California Heights United Methodist Church, located in Long Beach where her mom used to be a pastor. Melissa grew up going to church there so it was great that she was able to get married there as well! After photos we headed off to the Hacienda.

The Hacienda has a much different feel than their sister locations- Tivoli Terrace and Tivoli – too. It was built in 1901 and has that old California mission vibe- tons of great photography spots, too! :)

It was great to be back at the Hacienda. We have literally shot at the other Tivoli venues 100′s of times but we don’t really get the chance to shoot at the Hacienda very often. The system is the same as the Laguna Beach locations but the food is Mexican – yummmm! Jennifer had chips for dinner because Mexican food is not her favorite;)We always love to see our friends at Tivoli and we are so thankful to be included on their preferred vendor list for so many years.

Brian and I were lucky enough to photograph April and Carl’s wedding 6 1/2 years ago so when they called me to do their maternity session I was SO excited. April had a ton of cute ideas and props and it was fun to catch up. Then a few months later I was able to meet Lincoln (side note – how cute is that name???). This is one of the many reasons I love doing photography! I get to see couples grow together and then sometimes they grow to families and I get to be a part of just a few moments of their lives. I absolutely love it! Congratulations April and Carl on an adorable baby!

Ashley and Brent’s wedding at the Turnip Rose Grand Ballroom

We had a great wedding at Turnip Rose a couple weeks ago with Ashley and Brent. :)  We always love shooting there and even more so when our couples are so awesome!  They love Disney and there were hints of it throughout the wedding.  One of the things I loved about both families was their emotion.  They were not afraid to show their tears and it was truly a special day for everyone in attendance.  Their florals done by Kim Chi Floral Design were beautiful and brought Ashley to tears.  Jason from Visions Entertainment did a great job during the ceremony and kept the crowd dancing all night at the reception.  Ashley and Brent – you two are awesome and we can’t wait to see you again soon! xo

Wedding in Laguna Beach – Tivoli Terrace – Surf & Sand – La Casa Del Camino

Kim and Rob are such an adorable couple.  The way Rob looks at Kim – it is undeniable that he is completely in love with her.  They had their first glance at Surf and Sand Hotel where he teared up immediately when he saw her.  After some photos there – we headed over to Tivoli Terrace for a small ceremony by their uncle and then an intimate reception at La Casa del Camino.  We were honored to be apart of such an intimate wedding and will post more photos soon of their sessions we did throughout the year with them!:)

I met Erin a couple years ago through a mutual friend and we clicked right away.  She is so sweet and I was so happy for her when she started dated Jimmy.  They really do compliment each other so well and are such a cute couple!  They are getting married in August at the Lido Yacht Club and we can’t wait for them to tie the knot!:)  xoxox
